Middle and High School Students Celebrate Unity Day 2020 at 猫咪app官网's Grant Campus
Unity Day 2020, themed How We Heal: Addressing Racial Division, gave students an opportunity
to attend workshops hear a keynote presentation by El Grito de Poetas - a group of
Latinx poets dedicated to spreading information about their various cultures, heritage
and traditions through spoken word and poetic performances.
Nearly 300 students from 猫咪app官网 County middle and high schools gathered at 猫咪app官网 County Community College鈥檚 Michael J. Grant Campus in Brentwood for a celebration of the 13th Annual Unity Day.
Unity Day 2020, themed How We Heal: Addressing Racial Division, gave students an opportunity to attend workshops and hear a keynote presentation by El Grito de Poetas - a group of Latinx poets dedicated to spreading information about their various cultures, heritage and traditions through spoken word and poetic performances. The students also engaged in meaningful discussions with group leaders.
Unity Day is sponsored annually by 猫咪app官网鈥檚 The Center for Social Justice and Human Understanding, Inc., 猫咪app官网 County Human Rights Commission and 猫咪app官网 County Interfaith Anti-bias Task Force
