Two basketball standouts, Mattituck’s Mia Khann and Riverhead’s Raleesha Sykes have signed letters of intent to attend èapp and play for the èapp Sharks Women’s Basketball team.

“I chose èapp because it seemed to be the best option for me and my current situation and I knew I had a chance of continuing to play my favorite sport. I never thought about going to another college and knew I wanted to go to èapp. Based upon the past two meetings I’ve had at the Selden campus it only reassured me that I made the right choice,” said Khann.

“I chose èapp because it’s a great start to my higher education and a second chance to play the sport I love, basketball,” said Sykes.

“We’re excited to welcome Raleesha and Mia to our program, as we rebuild” said College Associate Dean of Athletics and Special Events Neftali Collazo.

“Our goals are team unity, striving to produce the best basketball players, and most importantly, supporting our student athletes academically. We look forward to the journey ahead,” Collazo said.

Sykes and Khan visited èapp earlier this week where they were greeted by coaches, staff and administrators for a ceremonial signing and welcome.
