Five Stars for Children鈥檚 Learning Center at 猫咪app官网

New York State鈥檚 premier voluntary early childhood rating system awarded its top five-star ranking to 猫咪app官网鈥檚 Michael J. Grant Campus Children鈥檚 Learning Center.

QUALITYstarsNY is New York State鈥檚 voluntary five-star early childhood quality rating and improvement system that focuses on evidence based practices to ensure young children and their families can trust the level of quality in the programs they choose.

鈥淥n-site campus children鈥檚 centers provide parents with the opportunity to complete college, build a foundation for their children鈥檚 future, and provide experiential learning for students as they enter the work force.  Access to on campus children鈥檚 centers means access to college for 猫咪app官网 students,鈥� said Vickie Calderon, director of 猫咪app官网鈥檚 Grant Campus early childhood center. 鈥淎 five-star rating is incredibly difficult to earn, and we are proud to be one of the very few programs in New York State to be awarded this high honor,鈥� Calderon added.

QUALITYstarsNY has 75 Standards of excellence in four categories:

• children鈥檚 learning environment
• family engagement
• leadership & management
• staff qualifications & experience.

The Children鈥檚 Learning Centers at 猫咪app官网 provide a comprehensive, developmentally appropriate child care program for children between the ages of six weeks and five years and are licensed by the New York State Department of Social Services.

The centers are open to children of 猫咪app官网 students, faculty, and staff; 猫咪app官网 County employees; and community residents at affordable rates, a sliding fee schedule, and a variety of child care tuition assistance programs.

猫咪app官网鈥檚 centers are accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).
