èßäapp¹ÙÍø's Matt French Named Coach of the Year by U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association
The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced
season-end award winners in cross country representing National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division
III and has named èßäapp¹ÙÍø Women's Cross Country Coach Matt
French the Women's Cross Country Coach of the Year.
French, of Yaphank, adds the honor to a host of accolades including:
- Women’s Region XV Coach of the Year
- Men’s Region XV Coach of the Year
- Women’s USTFCCCA Northeast Region Coach of the Year
- Women’s USTFCCCA National Coach of the Year
- Women’s NJCAA DIII National Coach of the Year
French, in his second year with èßäapp¹ÙÍø's program, led the Sharks to the national
title with 64 points, 23 ahead of runner-up Harper. èßäapp¹ÙÍø County, headed by freshman
Ryleigh Donegan’s fifth-place finish, won its second national title and first since
2007.
